These are NOT your standard 5.394" stock-length B18B/B20 replacement rods.

These are Eagle’s specialized 5.531" long-rod configuration (+0.137" over stock), specifically designed for high-end, maximum-RPM engine setups.

If you are building a high-rod-ratio LS/VTEC or B20/VTEC engine meant to scream past 9,000+ RPM without breaking a sweat, this is the exact setup you need.

The Engineering Advantage (Dropping the Knowledge):

By running a 5.531" long rod on a standard 89mm B20/B18 stroke, you significantly optimize the rod-to-stroke ratio.

Reduced Piston Side-Loading & Friction: The longer rod length decreases the severe angularity of the rod during the mid-stroke. This dramatically reduces thrust loading and friction of the piston skirt against the cylinder walls, saving your bores and unlocking hidden horsepower.

Increased Piston Dwell Time at TDC: At high RPMs, longer rods cause the piston to "dwell" at Top Dead Center (TDC) for a microsecond longer.

This maximizes cylinder pressure, improves combustion efficiency, and lets your intake valves stay open longer with less reversion.

Lighter Reciprocating Assembly: These rods require short compression-height aftermarket pistons (custom short-height pin positions). By moving to a short-height piston, you severely drop the weight of the reciprocating mass, allowing the engine to rev faster and much safer at extreme RPMs.

Condition:

These rods were unboxed and installed into a B20 block purely for mock-up and clearance verification. The engine was NEVER sealed, timed, sparked, or run. Zero miles, zero operating time. Due to a change in project direction, they were carefully uninstalled and packaged. They are in pristine open-box condition.
